Background Information
Released February of 2017, the JBL Flip 4 (APIJBLFLIP4) is the 4th generation in a line of very popular bluetooth speakers. Although very similar in exterior design to the Flip 3, it does have a more compact button design. IPX7 waterproofed, this speaker can be submerged for 30 minutes to a depth of one meter without damage. The speaker is sold in six different colors and features Connect+ technology to connect to other JBL speakers.
To identify the speaker, first look for a red metallic plaque with white JBL lettering. The volume and bluetooth buttons should be embedded into the fabric skin beside the rubber spine. This rubber spine contains the LED battery level indicators between the power button and Connect+ button. Ultimately, the USB and aux port cover should have "FLIP4" written on it.
