Background and Identification
- Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 is the twelfth iteration in the Mini Instax series, released November 2012. The camera is most notable for its variety of colors and top ejection of instant film. The Mini 8 boasts a lighter body and is about 10% lighter to the previous Mini 7s. The key features are the five-mode exposure levels, always on flash 60 mm ƒ/12.7 camera lens, and 1/60 to 1/400 second shutter.
- The camera can be identified by its rounded shape, solid colors and the text "Fujifilm Instax Mini 8" on the top right corner. To differentiate between the other models of Fujifilm's instant cameras, it is important to note the portrait orientation in which the Instax is oriented in, as opposed to the landscape design of many of the other Instax cameras. The most similar looking Instax camera is the Instax Mini 8's predecessor, the Instax Mini 7s. The Instax Mini 7s had an oval lens unit as opposed to the circular unit on the Instax Mini 8, and comes in two-tone colors rather than the solid colors of the Instax Mini 8.
