This is the US version of the Sinclair ZX-81 marketed by Timex. The main difference is that the TS 1000 has 2 KB RAM instead of the 1 KB RAM of the original ZX-81.

I learned how to program basic on this one summer at my grandparent''s house when I was 9 or so. I remember writing a silly little RPG game in basic on this thing, this kickstarted a budding computer obsession.
