Some news of the week:
First, I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays, 'tis
the season, no matter how you celebrate!
I think I've finished Christmas shopping, and of
course just as I finished it, my daughter's family
came down with a really nasty 'throw-up' flu... JUST
what you need Christmas week hahahaha.. Ok, 'Not good
to Laugh Here' ... I sure know they aren't laughing
as it makes their way through the members of the
household... One of my grandsons even had to skip the
final performance of the School Musical which I bet he
was angry at. "There will be more", I reminded him,
remembering the year I had to skip ours because of
Strep Throat, and another time still later when I had
to skip a performance in which I was the lead player
(Jean Brodie) because of appendicitis. It didn't stop
me from trying out for everything I could as time went
on Lol
Here's to good health and wonderful Holidays to you
and your families, as we zoom through this darn cold
weather (up here at least ).

Thanks to Vince Coen, 2:250/1 for this one!
Working people frequently ask us retired people what
we do to make our days interesting.
Well, for example, just the other day my wife and I went into
town and visited a shop.
When we came out, there was a parking meter bloke writing out a
parking ticket.
We went up to him and I said, 'Come on how about giving a senior
citizen a break?'
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.
I called him an asshole . He glared at me and started writing
another ticket for having worn-out tires.
So Anne called him a shithead. He finished the second ticket and
put it on the windshield with the first.
Then he started writing more tickets.
This went on for about 20 minutes.
The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.
Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home. We
weren't too concerned about the vehicle's owner because of the
sticker on the back window:
"I support Muslims".
We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.
It's important at our age.

Where to Send Your Articles
Unlike most editors, I surely do not mind running my mouth
when there is a sparsity of articles for the 'zine. I'd
MUCH rather you sent in material... lacking that, I will
fill these issues with my meanderings and thoughts and
hopefully we will grow into something of consequence here
:)
Write an article!
If you WOULD like to submit an article, feel free to drop
your article off at:

If you are using routed Fidonet mail, don't send articles as routed
attaches. They will fail somewhere along the path before getting here.
Send them instead direct to filegate.net.
Give it a title, sign your name and network address if you have
one and send it along!
Don't worry about the format, I can take anything you send me
and mutilate it further as you can see above. Linux is nice
that way (g). Spell checking your own work will help though
(something I'm typically guilty of (g)).
