Freeware Weather Door v.1 Beta For BBBS

This is a quick and dirty Weather report generator.
Version .1 changes the way I'm getting the weather report.
Earlier versions used a PYTHON program to get the weather
report.
1. This version does not require the python language, or
Jeremy Stanley's weather program.
3. This version uses Lynx, a character based browser, which is
available for all OS's.
You can download it here:
http://lynx.isc.org/
2. Copy the following files from newweath.zip to your
bbbs/scripts directory:
alldefault2.txt
weather3.bz
findcity3.bz
3. Compile the .bz files with bzc filename.bz
4. Add new weather stations to alldefault2.txt in this format,
in alphabetical order on the ID field (first column):

This door uses the ID or City and State in the alldefault2.txt
to generate the weather report.
5. In opendoor.bz, I call it like this:

6. Running the Door:
When you run the door from your menus/doormenu file, the screen clears, and
you will be prompted for your choice, Weather, List, or Quit.

7. Known problems and errors:
If you enter a city, but no state, the program will abort cleanly.
If the city/state are not found, you'll get an error from
weather.noaa.gov Port 80 (don't do this!)
You should enter this ID/city/state/ in alldefaults2.txt.
Save the file with a ascii editor (not a WP).
You can get the weather ID for the unknown locale by using your
browser to go to http://www.wunderground.com/, type in the city,
state, then click on (Station) icon. You'll see a number of
local stations to pick from. See #4 above for information on
how to add this ID/City/State to alldefaults2.txt.

Where to Send Your Articles
Unlike most editors, I surely do not mind running my mouth
when there is a sparsity of articles for the 'zine. I'd
MUCH rather you sent in material... lacking that, I will
fill these issues with my meanderings and thoughts and
hopefully we will grow into something of consequence here
:)
Write an article!
If you WOULD like to submit an article, feel free to drop
your article off at:

telnet mailer: filegate.net
If you are using routed Fidonet mail, don't send articles as routed
attaches. They will fail somewhere along the path before getting here.
Send them instead direct to filegate.net.
Give it a title, sign your name and network address if you have
one and send it along!
Don't worry about the format, I can take anything you send me
and mutilate it further as you can see above. Linux is nice
that way (g). Spell checking your own work will help though
(something I'm typically guilty of (g)).
