Holiday in my country- Easter

In many countries of the world Easter is not celebrate. In Poland this holiday is celebrated in a special way for Jesus Christ is resurrected. About forty days before Easter we celebrate Lent . During that time we are customarily do not dance or drink alcohol. I always remember Easter with my family with joy.
We always carefully prepare for Easter. My mother cleans the whole house. My sister and I willingly help her since we don’t have school. Actually, during the Holiday Week we only have a retreat in Church so we can actively participate in preparing for Easter.
On Good Friday we go to my grandma’s house with a lot of eggs and watercolors. My lovely grandma always puts eggs in a big clay pot to boil. After that we try to paint them. It isn’t easy to draw on the eggs. Nearly one/third go in the garbage but we have fun. Frankly speaking, I have never had a talent for painting or drawing though I try to do my best irrespective of results.
On Saturday morning my mother prepares a basket filled with meat, eggs, and bread which we bring to the Church for a blessing. According to tradition, all the stuff should be inside the holy basket. Later we go home and pray. My Grandma always says that this tradition brings good luck.
After mass on Easter my whole family goes to my grandma’s house for breakfast. We eat all the blessed food and show our painted Easter Eggs. In addition, my uncle chooses the most beautiful eggs and awards the best ones.
I always remember this holiday. When we celebrate Easter it means that summer is coming. It is time when the whole family can get together and forget about everyday problems .It is a special moment when we may enjoy peace each other .
