Informal letter

Dear Roger

Thanks a lot for your letter – it was great to hear from you again and I am very happy that you want to come with me on a day trip to France. I think that it will be really exciting.

In letter you asked me about more details which are connected with our journey. Firstly, I want to tell you that my friend was on the same trip in last year and he told me that it was fantastic. He would like to go with us this year, but he has to look after his mother who is ill.

We are going to travel by train, since it is the cheapest means of transport. It least at 5am on Saturday and we will be back at about 11pm the next day. We will stay at an “Etap” Hotel which is situated near the centre of Paris. We arrive in Paris at about 10am and after short breakfast we will go sight seeing. During the two days we will see: The Eiffel Tower, The Notre – Dame Cathedral, The Pont – Neuf Bridge (the oldest bridge in Paris).

We are going to live in Paris at about 6pm the next day after dinner. The total cost of the trip is 25$ with full board.

My friend really recommended this trip to us, so I believe that we will enjoy it. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
