From Proto-Albanian *tāslā, from *tēkslā, from Proto-Indo-European *tetḱ- (“to hew”) (compare Latin tēlum, German Dechsel (“adze”), Russian тесла́ (teslá, “adze”)).[1] Cognate with teshë.
