payares
Asturian
Etymology
May come from Payares, a parish and town in the muncipality of Lena, by the Cantabrian Mountains, referring to the warm wind that enters Asturias from the south in Fall. Alternatively from paya (“straw”), since it's the month when einkorn is planted.
