organochalcogen (plural organochalcogens)

  1. (organic chemistry) A chemical compound or functional group containing carbon (organic) atoms and group 16/chalcogen atoms, but not necessarily exclusively, which are also organic compounds. (ie. carbon dioxide, amongst others, is inorganic, thus not an organochalogen)
  2. (organic chemistry) The class of such compounds.
