Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish مقدر (mukadder, estimated, appraised, decreed by providence, taken for granted),[1] from Arabic مُقَدَّر (muqaddar, implied, implicit, estimated), passive participle of قَدَّرَ (qaddara, to determine, to fix, to estimate, to forecast).[2]
