  1. to notice
    Märker du inte att båten sjunker?
    Don't you notice that the boat is sinking?
  2. (passive voice) to have a noticeable effect; to be something one can tell, to show
    Det märks att du aldrig varit på ett skepp
    I can tell (it is something that one can tell that) you've never been on a ship
    Han har tidigare vunnit priser för sin kebabsås, och det märks
    He has previously won awards for his kebab sauce, and it shows
  3. to mark (indicate in some way for later reference)
