llest
Catalan
Etymology
Uncertain. Perhaps from a Vulgar Latin *lextus or *lestus, reduced from *lexitus, as an alteration of Latin lēctus (“chosen; read”), participle of legō.[1][2] Alternatively of Germanic origin, possibly from Proto-Germanic *listiz. Compare Spanish listo, Portuguese and Italian lesto.
