From Proto-Albanian *krok-sko, a -k enlargement of krah, from Proto-Indo-European *kr(o)k-sko (arm). Compare Lithuanian kárka (pig's foot), kirkãlis (shinbone), Bulgarian крак (krak, leg, foot), Serbo-Croatian krôk (footstep).
