Etymology
From Old French cresme.
Usage notes
Cream from milk is grädde. Kräm is a viscous cream, like solkräm (“sun cream”) or hudkräm (“skin cream”), and also includes other substances (usually either practical or edible) with a similar consistency, like for example tandkräm (“toothpaste”), skokräm (“shoe polish”), and fruktkräm (“kisel”).
