    • Sixth century AD, Kaccāyana Thera, Nāmakappa, Theravadin Sangha, Rule 59 therein
      Tehi sabbanāmehi akārantehi smāsmiṃ saiccetesaṃ tayo ā e āyādesā neva honti.
      The three singular case-endings 'smā', 'smiṃ' and 'sa' do not become 'ā', 'e' and 'āya' respectively, after pronouns ending in 'a'.
