From homo- + seksualitāte, or homoseksuāls + -itāte (with homoseksuāls from homo- + seksuāls (“sexual”), with seksuāls from sekss (“sex”) + -āls). Probably not derived as such in Latvian but borrowed and adapted from other European languages.
