Probably from Norwegian Nynorsk finn (“Sami”) + Norwegian Nynorsk mann (“man”). The first part may also be derived from Norwegian Nynorsk fjell through Russian pronouciation with an unstressed e sound.
The palatalized spelling Fielmain is derived from the common Northern Norwegian dialectal pronunciation (compare to mainnj).
