excusable (comparative more excusable, superlative most excusable)

  1. Possible to excuse; worthy of being excused.
    Synonyms: forgivable, pardonable, venial
  2. (law, specifically) Describing an illegal act that was committed involuntarily, for example under false information or because of a faulty device. Distinguished from justifiable, describing an illegal act that was intentional but justified for other reasons.
