Etymology
Causative form of gũcoka.
Hinde (1904) records kushokia as an equivalent of English return (give back) in “Jogowini dialect” of Kikuyu, listing also “Ulu dialect” (spoken then from Machakos to coastal area) of Kamba kusokia as its equivalent.[1]
