- (France, obsolete) a French pre-metric measure of capacity equal to half a pinte that was equivalent to 0.476 liters. Under the monarchy the measure varied from region to region, with the Parisian chopine being equivalent to 0.465 liters. 1 pinte ("quart") = 2 chopines ("pints") = 4 demiards ("half-pints")
- (France) a French metric chopine (or metric "pint") equal to 0.250 liters
- (Canada) a French Canadian term for an imperial pint, equal to one eighth of an Imperial gallon, 20 Imperial ounces, or 0.568 liters
- (France) an amount of wine equivalent to 0.25 liters
