From Proto-Albanian *blōr-, from Proto-Indo-European *bʰloh₁-ro-, from the root *bʰleh₁- (blue, green, yellow). Cognate to Latin flōrus (golden yellow, reddish-yellow)[1] and Proto-Germanic *blēwaz (blue, dark). Possibly borrowed from Proto-Celtic *blaros (gray),[2] compare blár
