Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish عيناً (ʿaynen, by eye, by sight, exactly, without difference),[1][2] from Arabic عَيْنًا (ʕaynan), adverbial accusative of عَيْن (ʕayn, eye).[3] By surface analysis, aynı (same) + -en. Compare Azerbaijani eynən (exactly) and Uzbek aynan (exactly).
