If we wonder now in which place in the classification is this amoeban organism which Mr. Dangeard named Sappina pedata, we are led to conclude that its characteristics bring it close to both Myxomycetes and Rhizopodes; there exists precisely one group, that of Acrasids, which established the passage to the Rhizopodes.
