alporquia

Portuguese

Etymology

From Latin porca (balk), from Proto-Indo-European *pr̥ḱeh₂, from Proto-Indo-European *perḱ- (to dig).

Even though the word starts with "al", it is not a prefix, but rather an adaptation of Portuguese alporque (swelling, scrofula).
