airstruck
English
Usage notes
As with the base form strike, the past tense of the verb airstrike is often avoided by rewording the sentence. Thus one can say
- Magalahīs airstruck the major cities of Iremim.
- Magalahīs airstriked the major cities of Iremim.
- Magalahīs launched airstrikes at the major cities of Iremim.
Where the last sentence is wordier, but much less likely to draw criticism.
