agorar
Spanish
Etymology
Either from Vulgar Latin *agurāre, from Latin augurāre, in which case the maintenance of /o/ (and its diphthongization under stress) would be due to the influence of the noun agüero, or alternatively a verb independently built from the latter.[1]
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /aɡoˈɾaɾ/ [a.ɣ̞oˈɾaɾ]
- Rhymes: -aɾ
- Syllabification: a‧go‧rar
