From Þolfr, Þólfr, a contraction of Þórolfr, from Proto-Norse *ᚦᚢᚾᚱᚨᚹᚢᛚᚠᚨᛉ (*þunrawulfaʀ), from *Þunraz (“thunder”) + *wulfaz (“wolf”). Doublet of Torolv and Torulv.
