- One of the hills in Jerusalem, where King Solomon built his great temple, which was destroyed twice (the hill ultimately leveled, leaving only the Wailing Wall venerated by Jews) and today an Islamic compound/courtyard enclosing the Foundation Stone atop which sit the Dome of the Rock, and containing the Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic-era structures.
