Etymology

Coined by Mór Jókai as Timéa in his 1872 novel Az arany ember (The Man with the Golden Touch, literally The Golden Man). From Greek Euthymia (another name for Euphrosyne, a Goddess of Good Cheer, Joy and Mirth).
