Proto-Kartvelian
Reconstruction notes
In Svan the root is reduplicated; its original vocalism is preserved in the verb ლი-ჭა̈ნჭ-ო̄რ-ე (li-č̣änč̣-ōr-e, “disembowel, gut”).
Note that Laz ჭინჭვალა (ç̌inç̌vala), ჭინჭყვალა (ç̌inç̌qvala) is likely unrelated to this root.
Descendants
- Proto-Georgian-Zan:
- ⇒ Svan: ჭინ-ჭილ (č̣in-č̣il, “intestine, gut”), ლი-ჭა̈ნჭ-ო̄რ-ე (li-č̣änč̣-ōr-e, “disembowel, gut”), ქა-ლი-ჭჷნჭ-ილ-ი (ka-li-č̣ənč̣-il-i)
