Proto-Finnic
Etymology
Possibly akin to Udmurt кӧт (köt, “belly, stomach, body cavity”), кӧто (köto, “pregnant”), Komi-Permyak кӧта (köta, “pregnant (of cow)”); a common Proto-Finno-Permic root *koktɜ could be reconstructed.
