Oud-Zuilen
Dutch
Etymology
First attested as sulen around 1169. Etymology uncertain. Potentially derived from an ancient hydronym. The village was initially called Zuilen before being overshadowed by its younger neighbour, which led to the application of the prefix oud (“old”) to the toponym.
