Mýrkjartan

Etymology
From Old Norse Mýrkjartan, from Old Irish Muircheartach (literally “mariner”), from muir (“sea”) + cheartach (“warrior”). Muircheartach was the name of an Irish king whose daughter Melkorka (Old Irish Mael Curcaigh (“servant of Curcach”)) was brought to Iceland as a slave.
