      *I use the spelling Kufow because it is the spelling used in the Times Atlas [1955]. The spellings Chu-fu and Chu-fou are also used in English writing. Webster's Geographical Dictionary, in the form that was published in 1972, says that known descendants of Confucius still live in Kufow.
