Respelling of Polish Górski, Gurski. Also, transliteration of East Slavic surnames of similar origin: Ukrainian Гурський (Hursʹkyj), Belarusian Гурскі (Hurski), Russian Гурский (Gurskij). Ultimately, from Proto-Slavic *gora.
