Delhi boil

English

Noun

Delhi boil (plural Delhi boils)

  1. (medicine, archaic) A form of leishmaniasis once prevailing in India, as among the British troops, and especially in Delhi; not necessarily a separate disease entity from any other form of cutaneous leishmaniasis, but the old toponymic names predated the microbiological taxonomic knowledge.
