For English as a language in itself rather an educational subject, use tiếng Anh, or less frequently, Anh ngữ. tiếng Anh is also used officially in primary/secondary school textbook titles (e.g. Tiếng Anh 7 (“7-grade English”)) and thus as a primary/secondary subject.
