Etymology

Univerbation of spre +‎ zece, literally “to ten”. The formation is otherwise unknown to the Romance languages, and was influenced by neighbouring languages, such as Albanian -mbëdhjetë and Old Church Slavonic на десѧте (na desęte).[1]
