-lyd

1. pejorative adjectival suffix, often indicating tendency to or abundance of

   ‎baw (“muck”) + ‎-lyd → ‎bawlyd (“mucky”)

   ‎cybydd (“miser”) + ‎-lyd → ‎cybyddlyd (“miserly, covetous”)

   ‎llwch (“dust”) + ‎-lyd → ‎llychlyd (“dusty”)

   ‎drysu (“to confuse”) + ‎-lyd → ‎dryslyd (“confused”)

   ‎sbeis (“spice”) + ‎-lyd → ‎sbeislyd (“spicy, hot”)

-lyd and -llyd are variants of the same suffix. -llyd is found after n, r and w and -lyd after other letters. The exception is m, which can be followed be either -lyd or -llyd.
