Etymology
From 𐕆𐔴𐔾 (hel, “spirit”, noun) + 𐔽𐔰𐕀𐔴 (ˁaxe, “emit”, verb) + -𐕒𐕡𐕎 (-un, infinitive). The formation is comparable to Old Armenian յոգւոց հանել (yogwocʻ hanel, “to sigh”, literally “to emit from spirits”); see հոգոց (hogocʻ).
