ππ°π³ππ΄πΉπ½π
Gothic
Etymology
From ππ°π³π°π (fadar, βfatherβ) +β -π΄πΉπ½π (-eins). The noun-forming suffix -π΄πΉπ½π (-eins) usually is attached to a verb, but there is no known verb from which this could've been derived, which makes this derivation slightly problematic.
Declension
Only attested in the genitive singular. Based on other nouns ending in -eins, it is suspected to have followed the same i/Ε-stem paradigm, but the lack of a source verb (see etymology) renders the supposed Ε-stem forms conjectural; the attested form is of the i-stem part of the paradigm.
