Sino-Korean word from 黑龍江. A calque of Amur, as likely as Manchu ᠰᠠᡥᠠᠯᡳᠶᠠᠨ
ᡠᠯᠠ (sahaliyan ula, “black river”) and Mongolian ᠬᠠᠷᠠᠮᠦ᠌ᠷᠡᠨ (qaramüren, “black river”).
