前頭筋(前額の筋)は前額(前頭骨)に位置し、おおよそ髪の生えぎわから下りて眉の隆起に伸びている。その右縁と左縁は側頭線に近く、筋は前額の中央で分かれている。
前頭筋は、後頭前頭筋(occipito-frontalis)の前部(front portion/前腹〈frontal belly〉)である。後頭部(occipital portion)とよばれる後部の筋腹(posterior belly)は頭蓋の裏側にあり、髪がある状態では認めにくい。- Zentōkin Furontarisu

The frontalis muscle (the muscle of the forehead) is positioned on the forehead (frontal bone), extending approximately from the hairline down toward the brow ridge. Its right and left borders are near the temporal lines, and the muscle is divided in the center of the forehead.
The frontalis is the front portion (frontal belly) of the occipito-frontalis muscle. The posterior belly, called the occipital portion, is on the back of the skull, and is hard to detect if there is hair on top of it.
