Etymology

Borrowed from New Latin lithium by Japanese scientist Udagawa Yōan in 1837 in his book 舎密開宗 (Seimi Kaisō, Introduction to Chemistry).[1] Later influenced by German Lithium,[2][3] English lithium.[4][5][6]
