From Proto-Sino-Tibetan. Cognate with Yao'an Lolopo ggechir (“body”), Tangut 𘓷 (*kwər¹, “body”), Tibetan སྐུ (sku, “body”), Chinese 軀 (OC *kʰo), Drung vnggeu (“body”), shigeu (“corpse”).
