Cognate with Hindustani باغ (bāġ) / बाग़ (bāġ), Gujarati બાગ (bāg), Marathi बाग (bāg), Punjabi ਬਾਗ਼ (bāġ), Sindhi बागु (bāgu). Doublet of ভাগ (bhag), ভক্ত (bhokto), ভাত (bhat), and ভিক্ষা (bhikkha).
