Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘥𑘲𑘡𑘜𑘹 (bhīnaṇe), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀪𑀺𑀡𑁆𑀡 (bhiṇṇa), from Sanskrit भिन्न (bhinná).[1] Compare Maithili भिन (bhin) / 𑒦𑒱𑒢 (bhina).
