Etymology
From Proto-Indo-Aryan *tátra, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *tátra, from Proto-Indo-European *tó-trom. Equivalent to त (ta), the base of तद् (tad, “there”), + -त्र (-tra). Compare यत्र (yátra).
