1. to arrive

   ܡܛܹܐ ܠܲܢ! ܐ݇ܚܵܪܵܐܝܼܬ݂. ― mṭē lan! ḥārāˀīṯ. ― We finally made it!

   ܡܛܹܐ ܠܵܗ̇ ܥܸܕܵܢܵܐ! ― mṭē lāh ˁiddānā! ― The time has come!

   ܫܵܥܲܬ݂ ܟܡܵܐ ܒܸܬ ܡܵܛܹܝܬܘܿܢ ܠܬܲܡܵܐ؟ ― šāˁaṯ kmā bit māṭētōn l-tammā? ― What time do you arrive there?

2. to be able to reach

   ܐܝܼܕ݂ܝܼ ܠܵܐ ܟܹܐ ܡܵܛܝܵܐ ܠܵܗ̇ ― īḏī lā kē māṭyā lāh ― My hand is not able to reach it.

   ܢܘܼܪܵܐ ܡܛܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܡܵܬ݂ܲܢ. ― nūrā mṭē lēh māṯan. ― The fire reached our town.

4. to mature, develop, grow, ripen
